Do I have to participate?

You can only earn new fragments by playing the game. The only way to get them without playing is by trading with another player in our community Trade Hub, using in-game currency.

The "Why" and "How" Behind GoPlaytoria

Platform Purpose

Our goal is to create a central hub for blockchain games, starting with our own Splinterlands-related creations but designed to be open to all other Hive blockchain titles.

Our Transformation Goal

We are taking games that currently run in a traditional web setup (HTML, CSS, JS) and upgrading them with:

Technical Approach

1. Game Core (HTML/CSS/JS)

We use standard web technologies for the core game logic because they are fast to develop and easy to rapidly prototype. We are building reusable modules (like a "Card Call-In" system) so any game we make can have plug-and-play card deck mechanics.

2. Blockchain Layer (Hive)

We use the Hive blockchain for all transactions, asset storage, and NFTs due to its low fees and high speed. We use Hive API endpoints to:

  • Get player collections
  • Fetch card data
  • Record game results on-chain
  • Mint rewards and NFTs

3. Decentralization Goals

We aim to host game logic and assets in a way that isn’t dependent on one central server. This includes possibly storing JSON game states on-chain to verify fairness and moving toward DAO oversight for tournaments.

4. Tokenomics & Economy

We will use custom in-game tokens as currency for entry fees, crafting (at the Arcane Forge), and upgrading assets. Rewards will be distributed in Hive, SPS, or our own custom tokens.
